Basic engineering or Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design to define the main process engineering activities and provide further detail on the selected system and key technologies and equipment for the respective water infrastructure facilities and water treatment plants. This also includes but limited to development of the main site plans, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs), Mass Balance Calculations (MBC), General Layout (GL), General Arrangement Drawings (GAD), Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and Control Architecture Diagram (CAD).
Conceptual design to further develop the basic engineering or Preliminary-Front End Engineering to the detail required by clients in order to apply for the permitting authorities for official permission and approval for the project and to make final investment decisions. This typically includes the specifications and datasheet for the main process equipment, development of control philosophy, vendor list, mechanical, electric and piping equipment layouts and 3D models, in addition to the items mentioned above.
Detailed design to enable project execution and get approvals from project authorities. Which includes provision of material requisitions, functional specifications, guide drawings and all other engineering documents to a level of detail that allows placement of orders to providers and submittal of permitting documentation to the authorities and provision of technical support during procurement process, including vendor design vetting and provision of engineering support to construction and commissioning teams.
